I'm looking at RAM for my new iBook, either 512 or a 1gb, leaning towards the 512 b/c it's cheaper. I usually have a lot of browser windows open and use photoshop cs. I couldn't believe how fast the original 512 gets used up.

These are the prices from my school store for kingston verified ram.

    512mb - $103 + tax
    1GB - $268 + tax

Are these prices reasonable? Installation is free :).

Which sort of iBook? My favourite Canadian RAM dealer seems to be able to sell it slightly cheaper but you'd have to install it yourself AFAIK. Not to worry, it's a simple task on the 12 inch and the same on the 14 inch. :)

I'll be wanting some commission CanadaRAM. :D

I'll probably be upgrading my iBook to 1Gb and will no doubt get my RAM from www.canadaram.com again. Canadian (though Islanders ;)) - good service, good pricing and guaranteed to work with your Mac.

    The current iBook 12".

After shipping and everything, it's probably the same price. Doesn't specify what RAM it is, some of them that is.

Their 1GB is much cheaper though, wonder what brand though.

It's pretty unclear, but I get the impression the prices include shipping.

    The key word is guaranteed.

You can email them for more information and more accurate prices though. :)

I just upgraded my ibook to 1gb and it flies. Wasn't that much of a hassel to install on my own, just had problems with the screws under the keyboard. Other then that worked out well. I woldv'e gone with canadaram.com but found something closer which had same prices.
