After reviewing a number of iPhone 4 cases one of my favorites remains the Speck CandyShell. The only downside to the CandyShell by Speck is that due to its thickness it does not dock with many accessories.

Speck just released the new CandyShell FLIP to resolve this problem and after spending a few days with it I can say its a worthwhile purchase.

You can check out my HD video review and side by side comparison to the original CandyShell for the iPhone 4 at:

Nice review. Really liked the Candyshell but hated what a PITA it is to get the case off. With constantly having to flip the case open/closed, do you foresee any issues with scratching the phone?

No, it seems soft enough that I really am not worried about scratching. I am however wondering how long it will last (depending on how often you flip it open and closed).

I am using this case as my main case over my original CandyShell now.

FYI - this case has been pulled from the Speck web site.

Not sure. They said it'll be back in a few weeks though. Not sure if it'll be different or not.

Nice review, love the candyshell. Just not my everyday case, a bit bulky IMO.

I do like the FLIP idea but I think that I would still buy the normal case because all I plug in my iPhone is the charger so I don't really need that

    BTW, awesome review!

Hey great review, can you tell me if you think the phone with a zagg on the back will fit the regular candy shell?
