I just downloaded x11 and it won't let me install it because it says it's already been installed, but it definitely isn't there... anyone have any idea? I've spotlighted for x11 etc. and haven't found any old preference files or anything, it's driving me nuts!

Go into your Mac OS X Tiger install disc, go into Xcode Tools and double click "Xcodetools.mpkg" without quotes.

If you have the Tiger DVD, put it in. Then pick "Optional Installs." The downloaded version complains and it's for 10.3 anyways.

Ah, thanks, that worked! I should have thought to look on the disk  Kind of annoying that the download isn't up to date though.
