it says my disc drive spins too fast to play putt putt goes to the zoo.
i've also tried saving the contents of the CD onto the HD, and it still checks.
    any work around to this?
it's a classic app, so i can view the contents.

    any help is greatly appreciated:)

What about making a Disc Image on the Hard Drive with Disc Copy/ Disc Utility? That way it will be there for the check then...:p

i've tried the DMG and it still does the check and it quits saying nothing, meaning it's going to fast.
    odd.

Wow, that game is at least 7 years old. I bought Putt Putt goes to the Moon for my Nieces and Nephew in '95 or '96.
You very well may not be able to play it for a variey of reasons.

The disk image is a posibility (though it will make the disk faster than your existing CD.

If you told us what kind of machine you had, we might be able to offer some other suggestions.

If all else fails, you could just go buy an older Macintosh...;)
