Can't Print to Windows Based Network Printer

    Hi, I just clean installed os x and updated to 10.3.6 with all the latest updates. I have a pc in another room with a printer that is being shared to the mac with all firewalls off and stuff. I have a router so this can be done. I had no issues with this under 10.3.4 and 10.3.5. How come now I can't add my printer? A printer should show up in the network dialog box like before but now it does not? :confused: :confused: the pc is running win xp home edition thx for ne help

    o yea the printer is an epson color 860

    well since you clean installed, it could be a million different things.

    I would
    See if you can access shares on the windows box first.
    Check the workgroup that you set on your mac
    Check the IPs of both computers if you can't do anything network related.

    i can access the win box and browse through its shared folder so check
    the workgroup on my mac shows my mac
    eh, the ips check out i guess? both can connect to the net
