Hi all. I have a CD burned a few years ago on a "CD Music" CD burner hooked up to my home stereo. As I remember it played when I recorded it, but now I am unable to get any CD player or computer to recognize it.

I have tried to copy it in Toast, play it in my car, on my stereo, etc. Nothing will recognize it.

My question: is there any way to retreive the data (songs) on the CD and save them as MP3s or burn them onto a new disk? I'm pretty Mac savvy but this one has me stumped. (I tried to repair or copy it using Disk Utility as well--nada).

Thanks in advance for any help.

I think the data is gone. The dyes used in the CD are only gauranteed to last a certain length of time. Leaving CD's in the sun or in high temperatures etc. (not saying you did this) could corrupt the files.
