This is a very goofy first post, I fear, but..

Help! I can't remove the battery from my Titanium G4. I've looked at (wonder of wonders  ) the manual, and slid the release bar in the appropriate direction, but can't seem to get the thing out. I used a pen cap to pry it a little, but am wary of applying too much pressure, lest I damage something.

Please advise--do I need a proper pry bar to get the thing out or is something amiss? Tips? Tricks? It doesn't seem like it should be putting up this much of a fight...

    Thanks.

Interesting problem! Is this the first time you've removed it? Are you sure no one is playing a trick on you with super glue? ;)

Yeah, it's the first time (I recently acquired the machine--to replace my old "toilet seat" iBook that tanked--from my Mom who was upgrading to a 17". She's unlikely to foozle with superglue. ;) )

I have this problem with my TiBook. Hold the release bar in the release position, then use a small screwdriver to pry out the battery. Don't think you can damage anything with normal force.

Problem with mine is that the spring is not at snappy as is used to be

    Success! Thanks!

    It also seems springier now...
