Can't sign in to iMessage

    Since my update on my iPad 4 on Tuesday, I have been trying to sign into iMessage and it won't saying check your network connection and try again. I am ready to chunk this iPad 4 and go back to my iPad 2 which I didn't update and won't until bugs are fixed anyway. I have tried all the usual hard reset, sign in/out.

    Only one way to fix this. I had the same issue:

    1. backup your iPhone on iTunes
    2. Erase and Reset all settings on iPhone
    3. setup as new iPhone
    4. restore backup

    It's an iPad not an iPhone. Are there written steps somewhere to do that on the iPad so I don't end up with it wiped out?

    Its the same. Go to apple.com under support and search for iMessage troubleshooting.
