Can't use iChat AV.... won't connect to other user

    I'm trying to connect to someone with a MacBook on the other side of town, but it keeps saying "[Myself] has failed to respond." My friend's computer says the same thing, only that she had failed to respond.

    What's the deal? Both of our computers are less than a week old.

    Sometimes this happens to me, sometimes not... usually I just delete the preference files in my Library/Application Support if it can't connect, although seeing your machine is only a week old kinda stumps the problem...

    Bump. Still not able to use video in iChat. Not with anyone.... what's the deal?
