Canvas X problem

    Anyone experiencing crashes of Deneba Canvas X after update to 10.4.6?? Never had any problems befotre and now it crashes everytime I try to open it..Any ideas?:confused:

    Canvas X, like every version of the app since Canvas 3.5, has issues. Canvas 5 was so bad that Deneba took down its user bulletin board because got so many complaints. Things have improved since then, but they are by no means perfect. Neither have all Canvas updates been improvements. My installation experienced crashes before my update to MacOS X 10.4.6. Among its current problems is that the app will lose its ability to edit the default file name in a File/Save dialog box following a File > Save As... menu selection. The workaround for this problem is to quit the app and reopen it. The takeaway message is that Canvas X has its own issues which cannot be blamed on MacOS X. I have used every Mac version since Canvas 2.0. It is the best prosumer drawing app that I know. However, ACD needs to tighten-up on its quality control.

    Thanks a lot. I already wanted to blame the OS. Anyway even after reinstalling I still cant open Canvas. Have to work in Illustrator which I personally hate. But you are right about Canvas, for example my X version cant open 9 files. Only fonts are there and all graphs are gone...Hate when its happening when I have deadlines....:mad:
