My Dad was thinking of getting one of these. They certainly offer alot of bang for the buck. Personally, I will probably stick with my Canons unless they go down hill alot. Canon offers the best picture quality IMO and all the bells and whistles in the world can't replace that.

It's not that I can't accept that things can change, but Casio means cheap watches and cheesy synthesizers to me... I've been using FujiFilm cameras for years, and haven't found anything better.

I haven't tried any Fujifilm cameras but I know that most of the top reviewed digital cameras on most sites in the last 5 years have been mainly Canon and Nikon with a few Sonys thrown in...Kodak, Minolta, Olympus, Fuji etc all have been trying to differentiate their products with features but when it comes to cameras picture quality is king IMO.

I tried to explain to my Dad that higher mega-pixels don't necessarily mean sharper, more vibrant pictures but he just sees features and bang for buck so I'm sure he'll pick this one up. I'll try and post once I use his but I have a good idea about the flaws to look for from perusing various digital camera enthusiast sites.
