    Wassup?

    MacBook Questions..

    $1025 US for CD 2.0GHZ, 80 HD, 1 RAM
    or
$1153 US for C2D same specs

both would be BNIB from Apple.

    ??

holding off for weeks and/or months for Leopard isn't an option..

    Thanks for the advice.

Go with the C2D for under $200 difference. It will future proof your Mac more, as the Core 2 Duo chip is 64-bit compatible, as is Leopard, the next OS to be released from Apple. There is also a minimal preformance increase.

    thanks... and...

thanks for the replies.. FYI I suspect that I and the other poster on the same issue were typing our posts simultaneously!

NEXT question... if I do opt for the $150 CAD / $115 US more.. will the resale value be that much higher? as this is/will be my first computer in about 17 years, I'm not sure how long I'll keep it..

    Thanks,

    Mike

Macs keep their resale value exceptionally well, and you'll probably get more money reselling with a C2D rather than CD, just because people will see the CD as outdated.
