Certain sound effects lost?

I've noticed that I no longer get sound effects for emptying the trash and 'no new mail' (the sound you get when you manually click 'get new mail' and there is none).

These are thee only two I've noticed so far. Any idea why this is happeing?

EDIT: I justt realized I don't get a sound effect for moving an item to the trash either.

Duff-Man says....check your Sound pref pane, in the "sound effects" tab and make sure the "play user interface sound effects" button is checked....oh yeah!

I checked that and everything was fine. I then restarted and that "fixed" the problem. I'd like to know what caused them to stop, but I suppose it's a mystery, like most other oddities that require a restart.
