iPod touch Chances of a 256GB iPT?

Not until there is a 256 GB iPhone based on how the 128 GB Touch appeared after the 128 GB iPhone 6. The iPhone cannot have worse specs than the iPod.

I wouldn't hold my breath for it. Then again, I wasn't about to hold my breath for a 128GB sixth generation iPod touch with an A8 in tow and now I have one in my pocket!

I agree, I'd be amazed if we saw a new iPod touch till 2017, but when they do refresh it next it will hopefully have a 256gb option.

OVERALL, the Iph always has better specs vs. similar gen. IpT. IIRC, one of the IpT had 64 GB, while the Iph was still capped at 32 GB. However, even if an IpT had more storage, everything else about a comparable Iph will still be better (like RAM, processor, camera, touch ID, GPS, etc.)

It'll be in a few years if Apple choose to update the iPod touch again. Although unlikely, it is possible especially to update the iPod's in line with new colours (as they did with the 6th).

In 2016 fall or summer 2017 ,the iPod touch is more profitable than the  tv,and in my opinion a better gadget than the watch!,and the enormous iPad,they can reposisionate as a super nano portable computer,with a nano sim card like the iPad,3d touch and obviously touch id.
My hope is a A10 with 2 or 3 GB of Rams and 256GB of storage.

This generation of Apple TV is technically a new product for Apple and so they have work to do in that area. It won't be updated this fall, but it's plausible that we'll see an update in 2017. A10, 2GB RAM, maybe Touch ID and the 12MP camera but probably not 3D Touch because it is a relatively new feature and they like to conserve those for other models. It is also costly and I don't think they would raise the retail price.
