I changed the email/username of my iCloud account. Doing so requires logging out and logging back in with the new account on all my devices. After doing so on my Mac (latest OS X), the photos started uploading to iCloud again and appear to be duplicating. I have thousands of photos so I don't want to let my computer keep uploading the duplicates.

I'm not sure what's going on. I had called apple to help with the process of changing the username/email. I pay for iCloud and am part of a family plan and all those features have carried over. For some reason, the photos are duplicating.

Thoughts?

I have this issue also, but it started months ago. Whenever I backup my phone to my laptop there are about 60 photos that keep uploading, and since I backup 2-3 times a week, it adds up. I made a thread on the Apple Forums, and got no answers from Apple.
