    Hello...

I remember in Panther, in System Prefs > International > Input Menu you could select the little American flag that, when clicked, would give you a keyboard map of all the characters and how to achieve them... this feature seems to be missing in Tiger, and I desperately need it! Specifically, I can't for the life of me figure out how to make a copyright symbol...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's still there in the same place in preferences. You'll want to make sure that Character Palette and Keyboard Viewer are checked in the preference pane, and that "Show input menu in menu bar" is checked at the bottom of the pane.

Option-G for the copyright symbol on a US keyboard, by the way.

The copyright symbol is [option]-[G]. I believe that it is was an inline upgrade to MacOS X 10.3 that carried over to MacOS X 10.4, but virtually every MacOS X application allows you to enter any character in any font using the menu selection Edit > Special Characters....
