How funny is the episode where Charles Firth is in the US at one of the Phelps family's protests and he gropes Fred Jr and tries to pick him up - I was p*ssing myself laughing!!!

Isn't it a sobering thought that these are VOTERS?

    Mahatma Gandhi was right.

I've watched this 5 times so far, mining the rich veins of comedy and tragedy.

I couldnt even watch the whole thing, makes you sick seeing just how stupid America is. Does anyone wonder how someone like Bush gets elected seeing these people? Pathetic but thats what America is becoming these days, these people most likely are American idol watchers or are more interested in who B. Spears is doing. Im ashamed. I dont know whats worse these folks or the fact that its widespread.:( Anyone say Roman Empire.

so we all know that the editors go through and pick the most humorous (i.e. stupid) answers. and that's cool, that's their gig.

i think it'd be more interesting to see some data across everyone they interviewed. if "only" 10% of interviewees couldn't think of a country that began with 'u', i wouldn't feel so bad. but if it's, say, 50%..... i'd like to know that.

Anybody who wants to vote should be required to take a current events test beforehand.:(

Nice in theory, but no. Who writes the test? is it as biased towards un-poor whites as the SAT is? Who gets to grade such a test? Where is the test available? Who pays for the proctors?

I wish stupid people wouldn't vote too, but they have as much right as anyone else does.

Very sobering. Borders on depressing. Sadly, I don't find it humorous, more a commentary on the isolationism that pervades America.

In all fairness, I wouldn't even recognize John Howard, and I'm (currently) living in Australia. :p I read the news and events. I never see his photo, really, or at least I never took notice even when they do post a photo to accompany the newsstory.

Also, I certainly have little chance of recognising another President or Prime Minister's face if the country is small and on the other side of the ocean.

Also, who knows that when "John Howard" says "Remember to vote Liberal" that he is actually referring to the conservative government, since the Liberal Party in Australia is conservative. :p Very very very few people in the US would know that.

The voting system is fair. Well, sort of. Anybody who is Christian and believes in God (the Christian one) has a chance of winning an election.
