I think its "@apple.com" not "@mac.com" so he doesn't go online with it.

When .mac first came out, he kind of jokingly said that he got first choice of emails, and I think it was steve@mac.com I somehow doubt he actually uses that though.

Some idiot on the Konfabulator forums supposedly sent a flaming e-mail to Jobs. Jobs actually replied.*

*Assuming the e-mail and headers weren't forged by the above mentioned idiot.

    its sjobs@apple.com
    or steve@mac.com

try sending mail. if its interesting enough the person reading his mail (highly doubt its steve himself) will reply (with legit headers, et cetera). If you bitch about a problem, apple executive relations will contact you. :)

i actually put steve@mac.com on my buddy list once. and in the middle of a random day he showed up on my buddy list. it was for probably no more than 30 seconds, but it was still neat none the less.

Do you know how many Mac'cers have emailed him, or have put him on their buddy list? Its probably thousands, and so he probably doesn't even bother with it. Same with the emails, although I wouldn't be surprised if there was someone solely responsible for reading his steve@mac.com emails.

all executives have secretaries reading their public mail forwarding interesting mail to some secret email that the boss himself uses personally. it's common policy, and happens on smaller companies too.

that's called a "human spam filter", something only VIPs can afford ;)

I want to be a human spam filter, that sounds like a cool job, as long as you are working for somebody cool.

From what I have heard Steve is a real dick...

Unfortuanately most people who can afford human spam filters are, either that or they are people who were born into the job and have no motivation so just filter it themselves(looking for juicy porn spam)
