    Ah, but Americans now will have their $300 tax-cut (per child) to use on to buy their insurance. After all, if these tax cuts hadn't gone through, a middle-class family of four taxes would've been raised $700 a year. We can't have that...all for the reasonable price tag of $146 Billion. Priorities...priorities...

    the tax rebate goes to anyone with children, even if they had zero tax liability.

    rebate? this was money promised to state health care plans targeted for children, not tax rebates.
