    Hi Everybody,

Have been looking like crazy for this...

How do you get the screenname colored?
    I've seen that
^1 is red and so one...but I cannot type the ^ char...I only get a 1 and if I continue my name, I see that my name is 1name.

Are these things only on pc?

    somebody knows the right keys?
    thxs.

It's really weird how they did it. When I do it usually shows up like this...

If I wanted my name to be Kilroy in red, it would be "^1Kilroy."

But the console will show "^1Kilr" until I press enter, and then it shows up like it should.

So if I actaully type "^1Kilroy" it will give me "Kilroyoy." Weird.

But the "^" char is correct. In the console it should disappear after you've decided which color. Make sure you have the latest version (1.5).

[edit] found what the problem was...international keyboards are not supported?!? a belgian keyboard anyway...so I set my keyboard to US, and BOOM worked as a charm...thxs again.[/edit]

No problemo, really easy, once you know how:

drop down the console (on my keyboard console is dropped down by the <> key next to the shift key, same key hides it again) once you're in a game.
    and then type:
    /name [space]
    ^1 for red
    ^2 green
    ^3 yellow
    ^4 blue
    ^5 teal
    ^6 pink
    ^7 white

the letters that follow are the colour you just programmed.
    for example: /name ^1R^3ingo
would be a red capital R followed by the remaining letters of your name in yellow.

The colour specs like ^1 disappears

As said, I have an international keyboard, with belgian settings, so this trick did not function until I switched keyboard settings to US, colored my name, and then switched back to the belgian settings.
and as dferrara said, the 1,5 patch is needed

    Hope it works
    cu...

    That's Great

I was wondering how to do this. Does anyone know how to make your CoD name scroll or otherwise animate? I've seen that too.

    TIA,
    Rob

^8 is the colour that is team dependent.
    ^9 is grey.

scrolling/animated names are just scripts. basically what happens is your name is changed constantly. so say i animate 'peter' you'd have something like:
    seta name "p"
    seta name "pe"
    seta name "pet"
    seta name "pete"
    seta name "peter"

you could have wait/stop commands in there as well if you wanted to delay it.
theres an easier way of doing it, just look around on cod sites.
