    Ugh..

Come on Apple, this does not make any sense what so ever:

But you can still buy it in the iBook store.

I am hoping if they app developers put a "restricted tab" on the store they can bring it back in.

Great story and comic book by the way.

Apple bans Saga #12 from Comixology App

Has anyone seen this article over at The Verge?

    http://www.theverge.com/2013/4/9/42...ghan-saga-from-comixology-over-sexual-content

As a huge fan of Saga, I think this is absolutely ridiculous. You can buy it in the iBooks store but not on Comixology? You can buy it on the Comixology store and read it within the app, but can't buy it within the app itself?

It's no secret that Apple's guidelines for the App Store are asinine to say the least, but this seems to take it to another level. Additionally, it's so weird to single this particular issue out when the comic has featured much more explicit sex scenes in the past.

    What are your thoughts?

Apple did nothing. it was Comixology that pulled it from IAP

This was from the link I provided:

I am curious if they are just going to throw a "Adult Content" on the comic. This isn't the first time we have seen items like this. Man if you have been reading the comic stuff like this is throughout the entire comic.

    ----------

And now the story is changing from APPLE pulling it to Comixology pulling the comic by themselves!

If this is the case I am glad it is so. Glad to see Apple didn't have anything to do with THIS one!

Similar thing happening with Matt Fraction (X-Men, Iron Man, Casanova)'s new book, Sex Criminals:

    http://www.bleedingcool.com/forums/...sex-criminals-2-still-under-review-apple.html

The first issue went up fine (and its very good) so I'm not sure what the problem is. Comixology's response is to buy it from their website, which will then make it downloadable on the app, but I can't help feeling that they're making no effort to resolve this as they get more profit when people use the app, and once people have added credit card details to the site they're more likely to use it again, in preference to the in-app purchases.

But I wonder if Apple do this to the big publishers and players in the magazine game, like Zinio and Conde Nast, or whether their content just gets straight through.
