First off, what is the game? What does the box say about the supported OS's?

Sounds to me like you have a PC game, and not a game which is Macintosh supported. But, i could be wrong.

The box says it is for windows only. But can't i somehow play this game on my mac or do they make mac versions of it? The game is John Deere American Farmer.

It only works on Intel Macs. Also, most of them don't have the proper video drivers. Good luck though.

The only way you could do this is if you buy Microsoft's Virtual PC, or if you have a new Intel Mac, you could try installing XP on it, but i would not recommend it.

Virtual PC would be your best option if you really wanted to put XP on your Mac.

VPC does not give direct access to the video card. Almost all games (excluding solitaire, hearts, etc) require this.
