I have a G5 which I would like to use as a server for larger files, which would take up too much of my server space. The site lets you link you computer to a web url. However when we got an airport extreme (before airport express came out ) it stoped working. Does anyone know how to enable computer sharing, beyond a local network through the airport?

The default port for web servers is port 80, so... you have to tell your airport extreme router to forward any port 80 requests to the ip address of your G5 for it to work.

Open up the Airport Admin utility and open your base station
Choose the Show All Settings button, then the Port Mapping tab.
Click add, type 80 into Private Port and Public Port, then type in your G5s IP address.

If your G5 gets an IP automatically, you may want to set it up with a permanent one (like so that it doesn't change.
Also, make sure your Firewall in system prefs->Sharing is letting web connections through.
