Do I need to take any precautions with a laptop as far as going through xray at an airport? I do know about sending someone thru before you to watch that it doesn't get stolen. Thanks.

Best advice: do not go place your machine on the conveyor until you are ready to go through that metal detector instantly afterward. This will allow you to beat your machine to the other end.

If someon tries to budge you right after you place your machine on the conveyor, try to grab it back. This fella might be trying to steal.

If you can't grab it back, watch and be ready to make a lot of noise.

Good point, patrick - airport security - if someone tries to steal, let people know about it. Of course, a guy running with a laptop and nothing else might give it away a little.
