I have more music on my mac than what my iPod touch can hold. is iCloud supposed to allow me to listen to some of my other music on my mac by streaming it. I don't see how it works

No, Music is NOT stored in the cloud. Music functions how it did before iOS 5. It's stored on the device and you listen to it as usual.

Music was supposed to go on iCloud but i guess they changed it at the last minute.
Im highly disappointed that they removed it.

The only thing that can go in cloud is notes, email, contacts, & work now.

To be clear, music will be able to be uploaded via iTunes Match to apples cloud but its distinct from iCloud in that its tied to the Apple ID for AppStore/Ituned Store not the iCloud ID.

itunes match

yes, maybe its iTunes match is what i'm thinking of. I'm assuming that will enable me to listen to songs that are on my mac , but not on my iPod touch
