Running iOS 7.0.6 and OS X 10.9.1. When i add a contact on my phone, it doesn't sync to iCloud and therefore not the mac either. When i add a contact on the mac or on iCloud's website, it syncs fine everywhere. It's only from the iPhone to iCloud that the problem is. Any ideas? Do i just turn the contacts toggle on and off in iCloud settings or do i need to remove the iCloud account altogether and re-add it? Thanks for any help!
On the iPhone, Turn off contacts in iCloud, Power off the phone and then power it back on. Turn contact syncing back on. This should fix the issue. The power cycle step may not be needed, but it can't hurt.
tried that, no luck i don't get it, it seems to be with contact only, everything else syncs from the phone to icloud properly. also, the groups are duplicated for some reason. i don't want to delete the contacts on my phone, since they're not backed up. should i try a restore or something?
This answer worked for me I had the same problem. What worked for me is described in this post: http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/100659/iphone-contacts-arent-syncing-to-icloud
I tried all the mentioned options still no luck and nothing is working out for me. I do not want to loose contacts also
I've messed with my contacts too somehow. Got an iCloud account, an O365, a Gmal and a Google Apps account in my phone. For some reason all the recent contacts (cant make out how recent) are not stored in iCloud and if i turn off the Google Apps sync, most of the contacts do not appear any more in the phone. I found out this problem when i tried to access my contacts from icloud.com and most were not there. Is there some way to transfer all my contacts to one place without mistakes?
Hi everyone, I tried the latter solution but in my iPhone settings > Contacts > there is no "DEFAULT CONTACT". How can I solve for that? Thank you!
