Contract workers to be immune from Iraqi Law

    What a perfect way to wage a war against the infidel, by having a mercenary force paid for by the US gov but considered to be untouchable by the Pentagon, US law and Iraqi law. Is this the way of the future for US military "excursions"?

    Anyone know the US rationale (if any) for such a decision? On a related note, what is the legal-status, of say foreign workers or security forces in Saudi Arabia? Just looking for any consistency...

    I think it is a case of moral differences. We accept porn in our society, Islamic cultures do not. Homosexual behavior can lead to a death sentence. theft can lead to the loss of a limb.

    I do believe that when you are in another country you need to abide by their laws. Otherwise you leave.

    No wonder there is so little respect for the US in the Middle East.
