Hello, I know that people have asked this before, but my AAC songs have not come from the iTunes Music Store, but from a music CD. Actually, the songs on the CD were originally .m4p but they were converted into AAC when I added them to iTunes. However, my MP3 player can only play MP3's and I need something to convert AAC to MP3.

Can offer help please?

You can use iTunes itself. It's under Advanced > Importing. Change Import Using... to MP3.

You first need to change your importing preferences within iTunes, through Preferences > Advanced > Importing. Select 'MP3 encoder' at your preferred bit rate and close the Preferences window. Then select the tracks that you want to convert, and go Advanced > Convert Selection to MP3.
