Hi, I'm converting word files to pdf files and I want to stop the footer showing the location of the original file from appearing at the bottom of the pdf. It isn't in the original word file and it is very irritating that it appears in the pdf.

I've looked everywhere for a preference and I can't find one. I've looked in distiller and acrobat.

Hopefully some wise person will be able to help me.

Are you making PDFs that have headers and structures and stuff you can click on, or something? If not, can't you just use the built-in PDF generator? It doesn't do this, AFAIK.

That being said, I don't have Acrobat on my Macs and I don't know how to fix it in Acrobat. Sorry. :(

Check word prefs

Assuming your using office 04. Under your preferences check your print prefs. I've never had it do what your saying by using the save as pdf under print...

As it turns out the original word document had a footer in it and I just hadn't noticed.

Silly me
