If this turns out to be true, there needs to be some cops and city officials arrested and tried for the deaths caused by these actions.

Ah, that's the Southern Spirit I remember! I thought they'd forgotten how to do it.

I was listening to people account this story on NPR this morning.

There are serious problems in this country. Unfortunately, many people just like to believe that the world they choose to observe accounts for all of reality and can't believe things like this. People need to stop making that choice.

You'll have to stop them putting Kool Aid in the water supply first.

I don't have to accept anything said by the two San Francisco paramedics (and obvious radicals) to be disturbed by this story. The quotes by the Gretna Police Chief to a very right-wing source should be enough to alarm anyone. It's clear, that at least to the Police of Gretna, the possibility of harm to property by fleeing New Orleans residents was more important than the lives of the people themselves. I repeat, if this is true, then the Police and City officials involved in these actions should be held responsible for any deaths that resulted from this outrageous policy.
