First off this is my first post - Hi. I bought my first Mac (an iBook G4) about a month ago and ordered a new 20" iMac to replace my home machine last week.

That said I have a Mame Machine and a Jukebox that I built that have XP machines in them and ocassionally I upload new files to them over the network. I can copy files fine to them but is there an easy way to have Mac not copy the hidden "." files that confuse Windows? I've been searching/Googling and I can't find anything about it...

Thanks,
Zathras

I had the same issue with .DS_Store files. I ended up just having a job on the Windows box that would remove them.

I just noticed that the latest version of OnyX has an option for preventing .DS_store creation over network.
