My trust G4 ibook has developed a dark area in one corner of the screen, and I assume it will only get worse over time. Is it worth the cost to repair/replace the screen, or would it make about as much sense to just buy a replacement ibook?

It's a good computer otherwise....

If you can get one at a very low price and by low price around 100 or 200 and even that's pushing it. Anything higher, there's really no point. With Mac prices being lower than they ever were and especially with the popularity of the Apple refurb site, you could get a cheap Mac that will outperform the iBook easily vs. price.

I have a 12" iBook screen that is pretty good just sitting around. Sold the logic board. If you need it, let me know.
