Has anybody on these boards ever been crabbing? By which i mean setting nets with bait on the ocean floor and trying to catch crabs? (Not the venereal variety of course...that would require....ahhh nevermind).

Anyways my point is that creating a new thread is a lot like crabbing...you set out your net and hope that the bait is good enough to hook a few responses. You also don't want to check too soon or you'll be sorely disappointed.

So the purpose of these boards is to bait people then?

Hmm... I think I just got caught. :(

Why do I suddenly have a compelling urge to walk sideways and clap my fingers together?

Oh, and by the way, yes I have been crabbing in the ocean before, if that's what you were asking. :D

well i guess i was asking two things.

what did you use for bait?

I always found that pork bones worked wonders...uncooked.

No idea, sorry. I'm not much of a fisherman. I get sea sick just typing the word "fish".

I think we used a tiny bit of steak, but really, who knows.

Never been crabbing, I think clamming sounds more interesting (and less painful). Haven't done either, but I agree... starting a thread is a bit like fishing or crabbing...
