I bought the game, maybe 2 weeks ago, and it's a bit annoying to have it run off the disc everytime I play...
    So my question is:

Is there something I can do to have it play solely off my HD?
    (willing to sacrifice the space)
I was wondering if there'd be an option of some sort...
    THANKS again :)

There probably is, but the mods are usually pretty good about killing most of the no CD threads.

They seem to multiply rather quick if they let one or two slip through.

have you read the other thread about this?

yes, you can make a disk image... if you don't mind storing a whole DVD on your HD. use either Toast or Disk Utility, then just mount it when you want to play.

hey i just thought of something... you could make an AppleScript to mount the DVD when you click the C&C icon... as long as it mounts before C&C checks for the DVD...

    Sorry about the "grey-ness"

After I posted this, I realized that I might be treading on thin ice with this topic... But I guess in my case.. I OWN the DVD.. and did not have any malicious intent :p

Thanks for the input. I did see the other thread on this, I believe it was for WC3, but wondered if this game had any special exceptions.
Thanks for the advice, and will give it a whirl once I get home! :)

I was actually thinking the same thing from the title of your thread. I wanted to see if you had anyone flame you. By the way, I had the same issue with my copy. It doesn't bother me to have the CD handy but it would be nice to store the CD in a safe place so it doesn't get scratched or damaged.
