That's just about the same amount of actual Mac laptops I've owned in the past five years. I'd be more impressed if he STILL HAD ALL the iPods. But at least he got to taste the full iPod experience, as I feel I've had the full Apple powerbook/ibook/iMac experience.

    I've owned

    400mhz Ti bought new
    500mhz Ti
    550mhz Ti
    667mhz Ti
    1ghz Tibook

    1.07 12" iBook
    1.2ghz 14" iBook
    1.2ghz 12" iBook bought new
    1.33ghz 12" iBook bought new
    1.33ghz 14" iBook bought new
1.42ghz 14" iBook (MISS that one) bought new

    867mhz 12" Powerbook
    1.5ghz 12" powerbook x2 combo
plus superdrive model. Both bought new.

    400mhz Pismo G3 Powerbook
    145b Powerbook bought new
    100 Powerbook

    500mhz iBook G3 12"
    700mhz iBook G3 14" bought new
    900mhz iBook G3 12"

    233
    266
    350
    400
    500 bought new
    600mhz G3 iMac

    20" G5 2.0 iMac bought new

    733mhz Digital Audio G4 Powermac

    450mhz Cube (not working right)

1.5ghz silent upgrade mac mini PPC bought new

    I'm slow in the iPod category: only owned a 512mb shuffle a 1gb shuffle a 20gb 4g (x2) and a 30gb Video I sold.

Shuffles have superior audio and they suit my music listening purposes at the gym

The video was useless to me. The only possible use for it would be watching movies at the gym. Other than that, I have a 12" Powerbook for movies on the go.

The 20gb 4th Gen iPod is my work interviewing machine with an iTalk speaker mic built in. Love that thing but would NEVER take it to the gym.

I'd like to get a nano but still afraid to drop it. They make mics for them now, so cool interview machines.

An Apple a day keeps the doctor away!

But seriously, who needs that many iPods? geez, just get a Nano and a Video, and you're good... It's a music player, there aren't that many changes between generations audio wise.
If I were him, I would have kept the 1st gen.

I know people who have more but that's not really news, some people just have money. I wish I had money.
