So you have a large movie library in iTunes, and I know how to create smart playlists. But has anyone figured out how to create a smart playlist containing recently watched movies, so you can find them easier on the Apple TV?

I can't figure out any way to create a list of movies that are partially watched (with the half-filled circle). Or a field showing date when you started watching the movie?

Best I can come up with, which is not ideal, is to create a smart playlist showing the last X number of movies in descending order where the last played date field is within whatever range you want. But even then, in order for a movie to counted as "watched", it had to finish all the way through. So in reality, you could mark the movie as "watched" when you sit down to start it, then watch the movie. Then if you stop half way through for the night, it will show up in that smart playlist.

Anyone else have some thoughts on this? I'm loving/hating my Apple TV 4. I sincerely thought they would fix some of these simple issues, but they have not. It even has an awesome search feature now, which for whatever reason will not search your iTunes library. Brilliant Apple! Pure brilliance!
