i dont have candybar, but want to change icons. i'e already used the demo, and done nothing with it (was still getting used to normal aqua, as i was just beggining to use macs at that point) when i try to demo a newer version of candybar, it detects that i've already demoed and doesn't let me do anything.
what i need is either a freeware alternative, a way to erase the log of candybar being previously installed, or the location of the system files where all of the icons are, so that i can change them manually.
    thanks :)

Most of them can be done very easily:

    1. copy the new icon (cmd + c)
    2. select the app or folder
    3. get info (cmd + i)
    4. select icon at the top of the get info window
    5. paste the icon (cmd + v)

The Finder icon and the trash icon are more difficult, but you can find their png pics here:
    /System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app/Contents/Resources

ok, after like an hour, the thing actually starts doing stuff
btw, shapeshifter doesn't change the default folder, but works for everything else. (i downloaded the trial and it suddenly worked! weird, but good) WHERE IS THE DEFAULT FOLDER? I GOTTA FIND IT!

    aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    ok i'll calm down.
i tried using ski a dock, and it work, but only on the finder and trash. i deleted the program and all related files. dorce-relaaunching finder changes it back to normal, but as to the trash, i'm out of luck. it's so akward. also, wheneer i login, the desktop wallpaper is set back to the aqua default, and i have to reselect my wallpaper through system preferences.
I NEED HELP!!!!! I AM VIRTUALLY BEGGING ON MY KNEES!!!
