The administration's lack of concern for America's poorest and most destitute citizens is sickening. I guess as long as überwealthy america gets its tax reductions, we'll be fine.

Actions have consequences now, don't they? We're squeezing our college students and Medicare for some tens of billions while at the same time offering the super-rich more tax relief and 'forgetting' about the extra $70 billion for the war this year. Bringing the total war cost to something around $400 billion. And we're trying to offset that at the expense of the poor and the sick and the elderly.

That budget should make Bush ashamed to be called a Christian. But of course it won't.

Hopefully the Dems grow spines and use stuff like this in the next election. LA may get some new representatives unless the conservatives shape up. Katrina has been a black eye for the administration, but people seem to forget very quickly.
