    1. Died last week.

    2. Is in the process of demolishing my sister's house.

    3. Died last night.

Glad I have a sense of humor, otherwise I might have joined a cult or something by now.

Not looking for pity, just wanted to vent.

Having read your previous posts on the subject I hope that doesn't mean your sisters going to be moving in with you!
Sorry to hear about your Grandmother.

And yeah, you know, wherever people go, my 95-year old grandmother is probably asking my very healthy before he died 71-year old Dad what the eff he's doing there. :D

Sorry to hear you're having such a rough week. Stay strong.

Hopefully your sister will be able to save the "irreplaceable" belongings, and the rest will be covered with insurance.

Don't know what to say that doesn't sound cliche or like a "canned response", so I'll just speak honestly - I'm sorry iGary. Hang in there and feel free to vent some more - just do whatever you need to do.

That is really awful to hear :( And the fact that all of this has happened within a few weeks just really makes it even sadder.

    Take care.

gary, haven't you heard, a macrumors poster wants this style of thread to stop. so stop already. ;)

Honestly though, my heart goes out to ya. I know difficult times-- my dad's been sick lately, a friend slit her throat and another has major cancer. it's hard times, but with strength (and good friendships) we can survive.

Keep your chin above water sO i can pick on you for shooting canon cameras more. :D

take care, and if you need anything PM or email me.

    peace.

Gary, after the love and support you gave me since the first of the year (maybe the past 12 months) , my heart and prayers goes out to you and yours.

All I can say is that the "Man upstairs" does not give us any more than we can handle at one time. I am proof of that! Try to find strength in friends (like us on MR), family, and in your choice of Faith.

    well,

if bad things come in threes, then this is the worst part of it, so nowhere to go but up... I truly feel for you and know that you will emerge from this a stronger person. You will be in my thoughts. Easier said than done, but try and stay positive. We are tested in harsh ways sometimes.

    take care,
    David

Your luck just has to change, iGary. Even though houses can be rebuilt, that's little consolation when it's yours (or your sister's) in harm's way. Condolences on the loss of your grandmother. I hope she had a good life.

Yeah, Q, she was 95, and was in really good health aside form the last year, which was still good. She went downhill fast in the last week and died in her sleep last night. Best way.

Thanks for all the good wishes, guys - I'm actually in decent spirits and able to keep working...I just needed to vent.

We're a good spirited group, our family, but the thoughts help - thanks!

Hang in there dude. I feel for you. My dad passed away last week and just got a call that my grandmother took a fall in her nursing home earlier today. She's 95. Just letting you know you're not alone.
