    Hey All!

I desperately trying to find a decent DC++ application so I connect to the sever at University. Please don't question my motives :)

Anyway, using Shakespeer atm and it just ain't doing it for me. I've mined the net but seem to find nothing.

    thanks

I'm assuming it's just Lecture notes and Linux distros? ;)

The main reason i can think of why Shakespeer is not working, is that their server uses an oudated version of the DC protocol and bans everyone who uses a newer version, which would limit the OP to an older Shakespeer which is PPC only, and insanely slow on Intel, as 0.9.3 uses a newer version of the DC protocol. But without further info as to why shakespeer sucks, i cant help more.

    Eraserhead: isn't it always? :D

Thanks, Blubbert. That may be the problem. Do have problems connectng but Shakespeer doesn't seem to give me much info on the reasons. Will try an older version see if thats more successful

Oh yeah, it is for Linux Distros :p
