I will be waiting in line even though I pre ordered...I have thursday off so why not, right?

I don't know where to line up at though? I have never done the launch day camping out so I was gonna call the store unless someone else already knows?

I know that the inside of the mall opens @5am. Your allowed to sit along the banister by the apple store to form a line. Probably the same as last year

    iPhone 4

I reserved my phone at the Clarendon store in Arlington... I plan on showing up about 8 hours in advance. Last year I was about 2 hours early. Once the store opened I had my phone in hand in about 90 minutes... With recent demand I think I need to be a lil' more eager... What do you guys think?

8 hours is too early. I think 3-4 hours early would be fine.

So there is gonna be 2 lines. 1 for those w/o pre-orders. The other for pre-ordered customers. Are yall showing up so early? Is your fear that they will sell your pre-ordered phone? Or just because you don't to be waiting in line for a long period of time? I was planning on arriving around 7 or 8.

    Long line

Line wraps around most of second floor of mall. Been in line since 8 am and now adjacent to Talbots. Still have to reach Macys then begin the march back to the Apple store. Line hasn't moved in some tome. Wondering if all of these activations are overloading Apple/AT&T like the preorders did.

    Long line - cont.

An hour later. Made it around to A&F. Look like at least 90-120 minutes left before reaching Apple store. Still seeing Apple bags with phones leaving store... a good sign.

Got my phone this morning. After waiting in line from 7:30-12:30pm, I left to go back to work. I was relieved to when an employee told me that they would stay until 3am if they had to so that all customers who reserved a phone got one! Well...I showed up again at 5:30 and around 8 they came out an announced the mall would only allow them to stay open until 10:30. When I finally got close (15 people ahead of me) they closed the store. After they made that announcement, they were handing out claim slips to bring in either on Friday or Saturday to pick up your reserved iphone 4 if you didn't make it before they closed. I showed up this morning at 7am and the store opened around 7:45. I had a phone in had around 8:30. The line ended near the sony style store...short line.

That's my story. I was pissed last night but I'm happily playing with my iPhone 4.
