I'm not much of a Star Wars fan, but I thought this was rather interesting. Get it while you can.

That's kind of cheezy, yet kind of cool at the same time. Definitely a collector's item if nothing else!

I don't like the pale blue - it should have been more gray.

    But its cool, sort of....

    :D

The guy has a great sense of humor, if not of design. Sort of cool, though.

Am I the only person that thinks this is ugly as sin? I wouldn't want this in my living room or next to my computer.

No you're not - but it's not the worst sub I've seen. You don't want it and I'll bet neither does the missus ;)

You're right, it wouldn't look great in most of our places. But for the StarWars fanatic, it is pretty freaking awesome looking..

Just imagine hanging it from the ceiling...

I actually like Star Wars, but I think that thing is hideous.

    Cool idea

That's a cool idea, the Death Star in the movies has that indent just like the speaker. Should be grey though, and I wouldn't want it in my house.

    Truly British

That's the best thing I've seen on eBay in a long time! I like the FAQ at the end. Mind you, 65 kg... it's not going to move in a hurry but I guess it has to be heavy to handle the power. And who suggested hanging it from the ceiling??

Haha thats incredibly geeky.. As much as I like Star Wars I couldnt have this in my room!

I think the Creature II's sub looks like darth vader (cept mine are in white).

That Death Star subwoofer is cool!!! Neat idea. But it's probably too heavy to hang up and not as powerful as most subwoofer.

    But nice idea

I'm actually interested in the sound quality, the aesthetics are not pleasing but that's a different story. I've worked alot with acoustics from car stereo boxes with different enclosures, but I got to admit i've never heard a sphere or the sound it reproduces hell maybe it would sound pretty good. Since he mentions it has 300 watts I wonder if there is an internal amp or if that was just what the RMS of that sub is?

Right. I thought that the real Death Star would be slightly larger (ie- the size of the moon!).

with some industrial light and magic and thx creativity... i could see the lucas team creating some really nice speaker/home theater systems... with a tag line that only a star wars geek would love... nevertheless, that subwoofer looks "okay".... but you can tell it's an amateur job at that...
