Let us re-introduce you to iPhone 5s with a new name. The only thing has changed, it's the internals...

The colours resemble the same as the iPhone 6 and 6S, so maybe the iPhone SE will be in those colours? Also loop could mean the Watch Bands.
New leather loops? I can only think of bands.
Pretty sure they are buying Loop Insight from Jim for 1.5 billion dollars. And I can't wait to see what Apple's editorial team does with it.

I actually think it is just about having the event at 1 Infinite Loop, but I'd like it to be a social network! Friends and family in the loop vs out of the loop is in the common North American vernacular already.
I feel that there's often a lot less hidden stuff there that has some hidden meaning than some would like there to be or make it seem like there might be.
It brings all those who prefer a 4.0" screen size in to the loop (of 6, 6+ and beyond).
I think it's just a play on looping us in on their plans, at 1 Infinite Loop, which will also feature a new Milanese Loop color. Although I do have to wonder with the curved figure in the invite, whether that is an indication that the redesigned 5s will in fact have curved edges?
HAH! That would have been an excellent invite image in 2013 when they debuted the 5s with Touch ID! But I'm not sure why they would have that now. We already have Apple Pay and faster Touch ID performance. Would be cool to have it built into the display glass but that's going to be a much bigger redesign event at some point down the road.
Apple historically sucks at social but that would be welcome. My family uses photo sharing as our own little private social network. Would be neat if they could expand that somehow. However, I think functionality like that would be reserved for WWDC and iOS X.

Colours are obviously iPhone colours. The loop title sounds to me like a reference to the new Watch bands, like the rumoured new Space Black Milanese Loop that got leaked and quickly pulled off their website a while back.
The right side of that image has a big circle in it with the 4 different colors (part of it makes up the left side of the leaf in the Apple logo).
It is the iPhone SE in the ipod touch chassis! 4" iPhone much thinner and smaller. Wishful thinking I guess...

I agree the 5s design is classic and I agree the 6/6s design is one of the iPhones worst, but I also agree that new internals inside of basically an iPhone 5s shell does make it appear to be outdated
Define "a lot". I love all generations but am fond of first iPhone the black 4.
