If you've created my own folder in the "root" HD on OS X 10.8.2, you are unable to remove them...

Is there a Terminal command for this ?

I know why Apple would prevent you from tampering with their own stuff, but not your own folders.

I was doing the symbolic link stuff with Dropbox, which works, :), but now i no longer need any of it, including the folder. I even tried restarting Finder, logoff/back on, and reboot mac... didn't help.

In Terminal : sudo rm -rf (drag folder from finder into Terminal)

After -rf you must add a space otherwise it will not work.
