Hi. I bought a SSD drive for my MacPro3,1 and am running Mountain Lion. On my old primary I manually deleted everything to trash and then emptied it except for locked items. It all went fine except it left a System-Library-Caches folder on my old primary that contains two folders, com.apple.bootstamps and com.apple.corestorage. I noticed their date modifieds are today whereas on my new primary ssd drive they have the dates of when I installed the ssd. Deleting them off the old primary only leads to them being re-created on reboot. Is there a way to make OSX look or re-create them on my new primary? I would like to take the old primary out but my setup makes it a pain to get to the computer in a physical means so I thought I would ask here first. Thanks in advance. EDIT: I should mention that I didn't feel like I was getting the speed from the ssd that I should and I could tell that it was still using library files from my old primary. I've just downloaded the blackmagic speed test and when I try to run it on the ssd it gives me an error that it is read only (wtf?). It's a Samsung 830, TRIM not enabled, factory firmware. It's run "fine" since I installed but I just never have felt the speed, hence my reason for wanting to get completely off the old primary. Please throw out suggestions!!
