Dell's customers upset with outsourced tech support

    Notice this is for business support, not consumers.

    I've got an ABS-built PC and had to use customer support from India. It went well, the Indian guy knew what he was doing and I could understand him fine. Still, I had to wipe my hard drive as a solution to a Windows fault.

    At that point I was so mad I switched to Apple. ;)

    This "news" is a bit stale. I had to call Apple a few months back for a bad keyboard and was routed to India. After a long call of miscommunication I was assured a new keyboard was on the way. 2 weeks later, no keyboard in hand, I called Apple again and spoke to an American. Apple had no record of my previose call. Had a new keyboard 3 days later.

    My wife called Apple 3 days ago with the same keyboard issue and was routed to India. She had a REALLY bad support experience and was livid when she got off the phone after 40 minutes. I wonder if the new keyboard is on the way this time.

    BTW, both keyboards were fried by liquid. Just trying to get return on AppleCare contract. ;)
