Has anyone else seen this show? I saw five minutes of it the other day and was astounded to see the level of the show that is challenging CSI's level of popularity. When it first came on I thought it was a soap playing in prime time. Wow.

My wife and I watched 1.5 episodes. Her sister is really into it so we wanted to give it a chance. Pure crapola drivel. Sex in the City meets Days of Our Lives meets Stepford Wives meets Deep Throat meets Family Ties - ok I threw the last one in for kicks but the show is horrible. After the first show we watched we were like "maybe it was just a bad episode." After the second (1/2 show) we were like "well there's 1 1/2 hours of our lives we will never get back.

I've been watching since the first episode... i don't watch much tv anymore, but i do love this show (and boston legal afterwards)... It's got kind of a Picket Fences feel, somewhere between sitcom and soap opera... it winds up being entertaining. The show has a high production value and good casting, and plenty of melodrama. I just don't understand why Housewives is considered a comedy and Boston Legal is considered a drama... it should be the other way around.

the plots are totally bogus, the dialogue is cheesy, the acting is flimsy....but i love it so much i can't get enough.

I never "got" DH. Im more of your typical "Survivor" fan. So my tastes obviously lean towards more reality fare. I like Oprah too.

It starts here this week I think and Im pretty interested in seeing what it it like. For once a popular American (I'm not limiting this criticism to US shows its just this one happens to be one) show with females as the main characters. It seems all TV shows are so male based with female characters merely playing a certain role (husband, mother, daughter, sister, girlfriend etc) to the male leads. Its debatable whether Sex in the City was really based around the female characters or not but thats a whole different thread.

My wife won't let me watch...
In fact, she switches the channel if an ad comes on for it.

I know, I know, I'm one whipped puppy... whimper, whimper

Is there any educational value to the show? No.

But I really enjoy watching it. It's fun, and I love Teri Hatcher.

    I do love Terri Hatcher...
loved her in Lois and Clark (not Lewis and Clark), and on Seinfeld.

    She is maturing well...

Yeah, the show is way to unrealistic but what ever, there may be a public for it.

As I said, I don't get to watch it, but IF I could...
I certainly wouldn't want it to be realistic!

Heck, I live in the real world... I want a fantasy!
If it were realistic, the neighbors would have looked like mine!

Could you see the pitch for THAT show...
*Uh, this is realistic show about ugly neighbors that never talk to each other and live boring dull lives*
I think we have the next hit on our hands!
