Did the powerbook ever come with a 7200rpm drive

    The reason I'm asking is that I cannot find the full specs available for every model made. While scanning ebay I notice that most drives are 5400 with some at 4200 however I have only once come across a drive that was 7200, I think it was 100Gb but I'm not sure.

    Because I've never seen another 7200 drive in a powerbook I was wondering if it was just listed incorrectly or if a standard powerbook ever came with a 7200 drive option.

    Yes 7200RPM was an option. My ex had one in her PB, I don't remember the size for sure. I think it was 100GB though.

    Yes, the final generation of the 15" and 17" PowerBooks had a build-to-order option of a 100 GB, 7200 rpm drive.
