Why is the Linksys WAP54g less expensive than the WRT54g? The WRT54g seems to offer more (4 ports), yet it is cheaper. Do routers take away from the quality of an access point, or are they not able to function on LAN?

Routers create a LAN, access points attach to a current wired LAN.
