So with the new version of Macbook and MacBook pro it seems that they are almost the same..I looked online at a detail comparison and they pretty much have the same things...with the exemption of the lighted keyboard...so my question is this....I know the Macbook pro is very nice but is it worth almost another thousand dollars??

Will I see the difference between the two...Im thinking of just going with the Macbook seeing as I will basically only use it for word processing, itunes, and web surfing and thats pretty much it...no games, photo editing, music editing none of that fancy stuff...I figured anything is better than my10year old compaq computer...

So what do you think? HONESTLY! is there really a difference?

If all you're doing is word processing, iTunes and web stuff, the MacBook will be just fine for your needs. Just be sure to bump the RAM a bit.

There are significant differences between the machines, from screen size to graphics capabilities and more, but MacBook is fine for basic use.
